This is a shrine to my cat Tatty.
He is a Mainecoon but he was a runt so he is a lot smaller than normal sized male mainecoons but he is still huge compared to a normal cat.
I bought Tatty in 2017, about a year after I moved to the England. I had wanted a Mainecoon since my great uncle had 2 when I was little and I thought they were such lovely cats. We also had a dog named Maisy at the time and she had always loved looking after other animals so she took it upon her self to look after tatty as her own which was super sweet. So tatty has a lot of dog like traits which is hilarious. I will make a shrine about Maisy one day as she was the most amazing and special dog.
Tatty is named after Mr Tayto and then it was shortned to Tatty. I have no idea why we named him that, I think we thought it would be funny or something? Idk, I wanted to name him 'Án RÍ' which means 'The King' in irish because I knew he was gonna be a big cat but I do think the Name Tatty suits him now.
Tatty is the strangest cat I have ever owned but I absolutly love him for it.
He acts like a mix between a 2 year old toddler and a dog with a sprinkle of cat behaviours all combined.
His favourite thing to do is to wake my partner and I up at 2am on the dot, by meowing in a perfect tone and pitch 'Hello, helloooo?'
Which of course is TERIFFIYING if your in that state of being half awake but also hilarious. I cannot count the number of times
that we have both been convinced that someone is in the house. Tatty does this just because he wants us to get up and sit in the living room with him.
Tatty destroys toys like a terrier does. Thanks Maisy haha. But yea, tatty rips toys up and then throws the stuffing everywhere just like
a jack russel does haha (don't worry he is supervised when I let him do this). He is a maniac.
Tatty can also preform tricks, he knows how to sit, shake paw, spin, stand up, and how to lie down on command (although you have to be holding a treat while asking him, typical cat haha)
